Use this section of XBOX Device Portal to view and change the settings for the connected console. Settings are grouped by category, and the categories can be collapsed or expanded to make it easier to find the settings that you want. You can change the settings of the console by editing the settings in this tab.

Frequently used settings

To change the Device Name (aka Hostname), go to Device Information/Device Name. A console reboot will be required for the change to take effect. To change the Sandbox, go to Device Information/Sandbox. A console reboot will be required for the change to take effect. To change Console Modes, go to Debug/Console Modes. The possible modes are discussed in detail in Using console modes to test your game. A console reboot will be required for the change to take effect.

Settings available with XBOX Device Portal enabled on the console (Default)

The Settings tab has specific categories when XBOX Device Portal is enabled as shown in the following table. See also data-caching.

Importing and exporting settings

When XBOX Device Portal is enabled, the Settings tab includes Import and Export buttons so that you can transfer all settings from one console to another.
