- You should select the primary target platform for your product (XBOX or Desktop), so Microsoft can provide the most appropriate recommended prices per market. The value you select here will also influence the price recommendation table you download. Anytime you switch the target platform, we will clear out the price values you set for a market to avoid accidental carry-over of prices. If you want to revert the temporary changes you made, reload the page without saving the draft changes.
- The prices you select here are converted to the proper currency for each market. You can either select a price tier or choose to use free-form pricing in a certain currency, and each market will use that amount in its local currency. All price table values are bound to the date on which the price and its related taxes are effective. To see a full list of each tier and the prices in each currency, specify the date and select download price recommendation table.
- As in the Schedule section, you have a Base price, which is the default price for your product, and you can specify different pricing in certain market groups by selecting Customize for specific markets. You can also schedule price changes that take effect on a certain date. For details, see How to make price changes.
- Managed accounts with the proper permissions can set a product’s price as high as 999.99 USD.
- If your product follows the agency model, the prices you configure here are the actual prices that will appear in the Microsoft Store. If your product follows the reseller model, the prices you configure here will be the wholesale prices, which is the amount you receive per product sold. For more information, refer to your licensing agreement with Microsoft.
- If a price tier you selected for your product or an expanded market equivalent is no longer available, your product’s price will continue to use the price you previously selected when it was available. You can choose to update the price or remove the override if needed. We will indicate that it is no longer an available or a recommended value.
- You will see information on the page if there is an upcoming price change due to value-add-tax (VAT) changes, either in your market group or in one of the expanded market equivalents. You can’t modify a schedule VAT change, but you can schedule a price change or base price override for those markets.
- You can also export the price configuration for your product for offline comparison.
