This path is for teams shipping a native XBOX Series X|S console title. You’ll target the console hardware directly with the GDK and light up console-only features like Quick Resume, DirectStorage, and Smart Delivery.
Is this the right path for you? Pick this if you’re shipping to XBOX Series X|S consoles. If you also (or instead) target Windows PCs and handhelds, see Windows & ROG XBOX Ally or the combined Play Anywhere path. Using Unreal or Unity? Start at Unreal or Unity instead.

Before you start

Make sure the following are in place. If anything is missing, go back to the Home guided path.
  • ID@XBOX onboarding complete — see ID@XBOX onboarding.
  • Dev PC ready — Visual Studio, Windows SDK, and the GDK installed. See Setup & install.
  • XBOX Series X|S dev kit activated and in Developer Mode. See Dev kit setup.
  • Partner Center product with the console device rows checked.
