# Settings page (Dev Home)

> Settings page (Dev Home)

The Settings page of Developer Home (Dev Home), shown in the following screenshot, provides access to various settings for a development console.

The Settings page contains the following panes.

## Console settings

Use the Console settings pane to get an overview of console settings and information. This pane has tools to view and edit the host name, access key, and other console settings. You can also switch back to retail mode by selecting **Leave Dev Mode**.

## OS recovery update settings

Use the OS recovery update settings pane to configure the auto-update settings of the console.

<Note>Changes to these settings typically take up to 15 minutes to take effect.</Note>

## Visual Studio

Use the Visual Studio pane to pair the console with Visual Studio. You can also remove all paired Visual Studio instances.

## Debug settings

Use the Debug settings pane to view and switch common debug settings.

## Unattended script configuration

Use the Unattended script configuration pane to manage setup scripts for XBOX One consoles.

## Default home experience

Use the Default home experience pane to determine whether the retail Home screen or the [Developer Home (Dev Home)](/tools/tools-console/devhome/devhome) screen appears when the console starts.

## Developer Storage

Use the Developer Storage pane to select the default drive to deploy to.
