# Request access for secured SDKs and samples

> How to request access to gated PlayFab SDKs and samples for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and XBOX GDK as a registered developer.

This article describes how to access SDKs and samples for **Nintendo Switch**, **Nintendo Switch 2**, **PlayStation® 4**, **PlayStation® 5**, and **XBOX (GDK)**.

To adhere to platform policies, Microsoft needs to verify that you're a registered developer before granting access. For example, you need to be a registered Switch developer to get access to Party SDKs and samples for Switch.

<Note>
  For other platforms, operating systems, and frameworks, you don't have to request access to start using Party SDKs and samples.
</Note>

If you're not yet a registered developer for the previously mentioned platforms and want to become one, go to their developer page to learn more.

"PlayStation" is a registered trademark or trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.

## Switch, Switch 2, PS4™, and PS5™

1. Go to the Nintendo or Sony developer portal, and then find the PlayFab page (categorized under Middleware).
2. Follow the instructions on the developer portal. Use their site to send PlayFab a notification to let the team know that you're a registered developer.

"PS4" and "PS5" are registered trademarks or trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.

## XBOX

To become a registered developer for XBOX, go to [ID@XBOX](https://www.xbox.com/Developers/id). Once you get access to the [XBOX (GDK)](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/gdk), you also have access to the Party and MLP libraries as part of the GDK.

<Note>
  PC GDK is open source and can be found at the [GDK download page](https://aka.ms/gdk).
</Note>

## Need help?

If you have more questions, post them on the [PlayFab forums](https://community.playfab.com/index.html) or directly contact developer support for Nintendo, Sony, or XBOX.
