# PFAccountManagementClientUnlinkXboxAccountAsync

> Client API to unlink the XBOX Live account from the authenticated player's PlayFab account, removing XBOX Live as a sign-in option for that player.

Unlinks the related XBOX Live account from the user's PlayFab account

## Syntax

HRESULT PFAccountManagementClientUnlinkXboxAccountAsync(  
    PFEntityHandle entityHandle,  
    const PFAccountManagementClientUnlinkXboxAccountRequest* request,  
    XAsyncBlock* async  
)  
```

### Parameters

**`entityHandle`**   PFEntityHandle

PFEntityHandle to use for authentication.

**`request`**   [PFAccountManagementClientUnlinkXboxAccountRequest\*](/services/playfab/api-references/c/pfaccountmanagementtypes/structs/pfaccountmanagementclientunlinkxboxaccountrequest)

Populated request object.

**`async`**   XAsyncBlock\*<br />*Inout*

XAsyncBlock for the async operation.

### Return value

Type: HRESULT

Result code for this API operation.

## Remarks

This API is available on Win32, GDK, Linux, and macOS. See also ClientLinkXboxAccountAsync. Call XAsyncGetStatus to get the status of the operation. If the service call is unsuccessful, the async result will be E\_PF\_ACCOUNT\_NOT\_LINKED, E\_PF\_INVALID\_XBOX\_LIVE\_TOKEN or any of the global PlayFab Service errors.
