# PFAccountManagementClientGetPlayerProfileAsync

> Client API to retrieve a PlayFab player's profile, including display name, avatar URL, statistics, and linked account details from the authenticated player.

Retrieves the player's profile

## Syntax

```cpp theme={null}
HRESULT PFAccountManagementClientGetPlayerProfileAsync(  
    PFEntityHandle entityHandle,  
    const PFAccountManagementGetPlayerProfileRequest* request,  
    XAsyncBlock* async  
)  
```

### Parameters

**`entityHandle`**   PFEntityHandle

PFEntityHandle to use for authentication.

**`request`**   [PFAccountManagementGetPlayerProfileRequest\*](/services/playfab/api-references/c/pfaccountmanagementtypes/structs/pfaccountmanagementgetplayerprofilerequest)

Populated request object.

**`async`**   XAsyncBlock\*<br />*Inout*

XAsyncBlock for the async operation.

### Return value

Type: HRESULT

Result code for this API operation.

## Remarks

This API is available on all platforms. This API allows for access to details regarding a user in the PlayFab service, usually for purposes of customer support. Note that data returned may be Personally Identifying Information (PII), such as email address, and so care should be taken in how this data is stored and managed. Since this call will always return the relevant information for users who have accessed the title, the recommendation is to not store this data locally. When the asynchronous task is complete, call [PFAccountManagementClientGetPlayerProfileGetResultSize](/services/playfab/api-references/c/pfaccountmanagement/functions/pfaccountmanagementclientgetplayerprofilegetresultsize) and [PFAccountManagementClientGetPlayerProfileGetResult](/services/playfab/api-references/c/pfaccountmanagement/functions/pfaccountmanagementclientgetplayerprofilegetresult) to get the result.
