# PAGE · Pre-planning and post-event accessibility checklists

> Use PAGE pre-planning and post-event accessibility checklists to catch high-priority items across registration, venue, catering, speakers, and follow-up.

It can be difficult knowing where to start when tackling your event's accessibility. The checklists below help.

  These lists are **not** holistic — they surface high-priority items so nothing critical gets missed. Use them alongside the full PAGE guidelines.

## Pre-planning checklist

High-level checklist to run through while planning your event.

* Registration website and materials checked for accessibility.
* Registration website and materials include info on accessibility accommodations and how to request additional ones.
* Event website, interactive kiosks, and companion apps verified as accessible.
* Accommodation and disability-related signage crafted.
* Accommodation requests from attendees reviewed and planned for.
* Venue confirms compliance with local, state, and national accessibility regulations and has provided documentation.
* All social media assets accessible — alt-text, captions, and audio description.
* Customers told ahead of time about available accommodations via social media.
* Guest dietary restrictions and requirements collected and accounted for.
* Catering staff verified as available to assist guests with meals.
* Speakers briefed on accessible presentation best practices.
* Sign-language interpreters booked.
* Captioning services booked.
* PowerPoint presentations validated as accessible and ready to share.
* All video assets accessible — sign language, alt-text, captions, and audio description.
* Demo stations confirmed to meet accessible design requirements.
* Adaptive controllers, peripherals, and lapboards secured.
* QR codes with short URLs and braille generated for accessibility info at demo stations.
* Floor designs confirmed with plenty of space for wheelchairs to navigate.
* Ramps secured where necessary.
* Hygiene materials secured (hand sanitizer, masks, and so on).
* Accessible merchandise catalogs created.
* Staff trained on disability etiquette.
* Staff trained on event-specific interactions with members of the disability community.
* Accessible transportation options made available to guests.

## Post-event checklist

High-level checklist to run through after your event for follow-up.

* Surveys sent with accessibility questions.
* Survey feedback collected and documented.
* Social media sentiment related to accessibility collected and documented.
* Additional, unsolicited accessibility feedback collected and documented.
* Staff observations collected and documented.
* Feedback reviewed for highlights and learnings.
* Learnings shared with the immediate event team for feedback and adjustments.
* Learnings shared broadly within the organization.
